Antelope Valley Optimist ClubThat is the new name of the Lancaster group. Members will be meeting on the 2nd  and 4th Tuesday of the month at the Wal-Mart located on Valley Central Way in Lancaster.   Zone Meeting 02-13-2010Ed Waldheim presided the Bakersfield Zone meeting. Everyone was asked to come to the quarterly. If nothing else from 9 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Saturday. Bring your Lunch bag and when you come to registration, tell Registration you are with Zone 11 and that Ed Waldheim invited you to be there for the day and you do not have to pay (this is for those only coming for the day)   It is critical for  you all to be there so you can see all the training and meet Adam Wilner, the new website creator.   Also invite any of your new members you have in the club.   Set up car pools to come down.   Jean Paul LeBlanc gave a demo of the new California City website. There was a lot of questions and a lot of information was exchanged with the 7 zones present. At the end of the afternoon, T G Thomas made a motion that Ed Waldheim be nominated and elected to be Lt Governor for the year 2011, he was seconded by all and voted "aye" by all also.
