The Junior Octagon Optimist International was involved in the fund raising Christmas Tree Festival at Hacienda Elementary on 12-12-07
The JOOI club’s first activity was a success and the student enjoyed the experience of getting involved in community projects. The Club, who is supervised by Optimist Julie Phelps and sponsored by the California City Optimist Club, makes their own decisions and plans learning initiative and creation. Qualities they will use all their life. The festival was a fund raising for the new school’s much needed library and other necessities.
